The phrase above says it all, almost. It should also say, "Let The Good Food Roll!" My wife, Linda, and I discovered Dodie's Seafood Cafe II on the evening of Wednesday, August 7, 2002. Was the food good? Let's just say that we returned on Thursday, Friday and Saturday evenings that same week. We probably would have gone back on Sunday, but I had to go out of town on a one-week business trip. I returned from my trip late Friday, August 16, and, needless to say, we went to Dodie's that same evening for dinner.
"Ya Don't Hafta Go To New Orleans"
Not since leaving my home in the New Orleans area have I had such delicious, well-prepared, New Orleans-style cooking. Dodie's fried oysters and fried soft-shell crabs are the best. And Dodie's weekend specials are mouth-watering, to say the least. I have not had anything at Dodie's that I did not like. I've never cared much for bread pudding, but Dodie's bread pudding is the exception -- it is a rich and delicious complement to any meal.
Other important aspects of Dodie's are the staff and atmosphere. Jeff (owner/partner) and his staff are very friendly, helpful and fun. Additionally, the patrons are also very friendly, and we have become friends with several since discovering Dodie's. The atmosphere is relaxed and fun. Dodie's has become our "Cheers."

"Bon Appetite"
Frankly, I was skeptical about a seafood restaurant called Dodie's. I was very surprised. The food was excellent.
My wife and I had the catfish and shrimp. It was the best catfish filets I have ever had. They were just spicy enough to tantalize your taste buds without shocking them. We started with the Cajun onion rings, then they brought out the "coleslaw." The coleslaw was different from anything I had ever tasted.
The atmosphere was appealing with a New Orleans feel. The owner greeted us when we walked in and visited with us later. We are looking forward to going back very soon and trying the crawfish which are in season now. I can't recommend this highly enough. 5 stars in our eyes.

We've searched all over Dallas (north of Dallas, that is) for authentic Louisiana-style food, and nothing came close 'til now. If you are sensitive to spicy foods, ask before you order -- if you like it spicy and flavorful, you've found your place!

You need to know that my husband and I travel all over the United States. I am currently enrolled in Seminary at the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary, which allows me to travel to New Orleans every couple of months for a week. I have eaten at many "mom and pop" restaurants, as well as some of the best in New Orleans, and none have come close to the flavor and taste of your seafood. Your staff has always been friendly and the food hot.
Our family of 7 loves Dodie's II. The youngest kid (19 months) loves your spicy slaw, fried crawfish tails and mustard sauce.
Hopefully we will see you Sunday after church!
Have our tails ready. Thank You!
